Country Club Hills has been added to the site

Country Club Hills has recently been added to the MABAS Division 24 website, highlighting its fire department's capabilities. The department operates from two stations and is equipped with three ambulances, four engines, and one tower ladder. Among their fleet is Engine 1140, a 1980 American LaFrance Century Water Chief Quint, measuring 75 feet long. This engine features a 1,500-GPM pump and carries 300 gallons of water. Although it’s labeled as Truck 1140, the aerial device is currently out of service, so it functions primarily as an engine. Country Club Hills is also home to Illinois’ only HME/Ahrens-Fox/RK Aerials tower ladder, making it a unique asset in the region. This iconic engine was recently highlighted in a fire incident, with photos shared by Karl Klotz. You can view the images [here](#). The department’s headquarters is located at Station 2, situated at 4520 W. 175th Street, as captured in a photo by Jack Connors. Another notable piece of equipment is their HME/Ahrens-Fox/RK tower ladder, which showcases the department’s advanced firefighting capabilities. Additionally, the 1980 American LaFrance Century Water Chief Quint is a rare and historic unit that still stands as a testament to the past. American LaFrance produced several models under the ‘Chief’ series, including the Ladder Chief, Ladder Chief Quint, Water Chief, Water Chief Quint, and the Aero Chief. The Water Chief featured a pre-piped waterway, while the Ladder Chief was a straight ladder. Both could be converted into quint units by adding a pump and tank. The Aero Chief, similar to modern Snorkel units, had a two-piece articulating boom with a platform at the end. Several brochures from the Larry Shapiro collection provide insight into these historic units. The 75' Water Chief Quint brochure highlights its design and functionality, while other materials detail the Ladder Chief and Water Chief models. Today, very few of these 'Chief' aerials remain in active service, making them valuable historical artifacts.

The chains are mainly used for cement rotary kiln, and also used in paper, metallurgical, mining and chemical industry. The chains can be manufactured by different crafts according to customers' requirements, such as investment casting, lost foam casting, and flash welding. Now we mainly produce round link chains, D-type link chains and oval link chains. However, we can manufacture various chains of different ring shapes, ring sizes and alloy materials according to customers' demands.
