At the off-line ceremony, experts from the German Rheinland Quality Certification Company stated that the Liberation J6 is in full compliance with the European high-end heavy truck quality standards and has the qualification to export to Europe. J6 thus became the first heavy truck in Europe to receive European quality certification. This shows that Liberation once again takes the forefront of the domestic heavy truck industry.

Previously, although the liberation of FAW was one of the most important truck manufacturers in China, its product line was mainly concentrated in 8-14 tons of medium-heavy trucks, which accounted for nearly 30% of domestic domestic heavy truck market share, but with domestic expressways and With the rise of the fast logistics market, the demand for large-capacity heavy-duty trucks with a capacity of more than 15 tons is blowout, and the lack of such products has been declining in the heavy truck market.

In spite of this, analysts believe that since liberation is deep in the commercial vehicle sector and has a solid foundation, talented people and network resources accumulated over the years can be compared to non-advanced talents. Therefore, once it is free to enter the heavy truck market, it will certainly be generous.

The J6 is the culmination of the liberation of high-end heavy truck technology. J6 lasted 7 years, costing 10 billion yuan, truly embodying the capability of independent innovation of FAW Group. Compared with competitors, J6's R&D and equipment level is ahead of the domestic heavy truck market, and even compared with foreign high-end heavy trucks, it is no less.

Mercedes-Benz Volvo

At the beginning of the design for the liberation of the J6, FAW took the European heavy truck Mercedes-Benz and Volvo standards as its core R&D targets. Therefore, the J6 put on the market has the advantage of “nine highs and one low”, namely “high-tech content, high reliability, long life, high dynamics, high carrying capacity, high comfort, high ride comfort, and high safety. , high maneuverability and low fuel consumption."

After three generations of development, almost 3.8 million kilometers of prototype vehicle test, more than 60,000 hours of assembly bench tests and product certifications of international authoritative organizations, the total vehicle life for the liberation of J6 heavy trucks has surpassed the 800,000 kilometers of European targets. The move rate is higher than 95%, and the indicators of power, economy, stability and safety have reached the advanced level in Europe.

The heavy lifting of the J6 heavy truck not only fills the gaps in understanding the high-end heavy truck market, but also marks the use of the new liberation truck base.

The newly built liberation truck base has been fully upgraded around the welding, painting and assembly processes. The newly-built welding line is equipped with 55 robots, the automation rate is 100%, and the welding process level has achieved international standards. The quality of the coating has reached the painting standard for cars above the intermediate level; the assembly line also has obvious advantages over the veteran assembly line.

High-end stealing operation

Although China has been the world’s largest commercial vehicle market since 2001, it still maintains a large increase in sales. In the first half of this year, the heavy-duty truck market was buoyant, and the sales growth rate reached over 60%, far exceeding the increase of 20% in the passenger car market. After experiencing the recession of the previous two years, heavy trucks began to achieve recovering growth last year and reached a new peak this year.

From January to June 2007, cumulative sales of heavy trucks were 255,884 units, an increase of 67% year-on-year. Liberated truck sales reached 55,456 vehicles, an increase of 63% year-on-year, accounting for 23% of the market. Followed by China National Heavy Duty Truck, the sales of 52,692 cars and the FAW Jiefang bite is very tight. Followed by Dongfeng Motor, Shaanxi Heavy Duty Truck, Beiqi Futian and Chongqing Hongyan.

Judging from the ranking of heavy truck industry in the first half of the year, FAW, CNHTC and Dongfeng undoubtedly formed the first echelon, Shaanxi Automobile and Futian formed the second echelon, and the industry pattern of “3+2” gradually became clear.

The industry predicts that heavy trucks will maintain rapid growth momentum in the second half of this year. Although slightly lower than the first half, it is expected that the annual sales of heavy trucks in 2007 will increase by more than 50% year-on-year.

In the face of such a good year, all heavy truck companies have attacked. In addition to the liberation of J6, many new products emerged in the heavy-duty truck market in the first half of the year, such as China Heavy-Duty Truck High Top Truck Tractors, Dongfeng Liuqi New Balong and so on.
