Danaher Motion will carry the latest automation software and three components to exhibit in Nuremberg Electric...
At the Nuremberg Electric Automation Exhibition, Danaher Motion will be showcasing its latest automation software and three key components. The Danaher Motion Suite is a powerful software package that streamlines the programming and commissioning of automation systems, significantly improving efficiency and speed. Launched in December 2007, this suite supports global networking, integrates all motion components, and reinforces Danaher Motion’s position as a top global automation supplier.
Built on the intuitive Danaher Motion PipeNetwork programming language, the suite is optimized for full automation solutions. It allows direct integration of control system functions such as data collection, PLCs, and motion control into a common development environment, enabling real-time signal transmission without intermediate calculations. This makes it easier to design and test complex machines.
The software features a graphical module that lets users define relationships between machine functions and mechanical components. With just a few clicks, even the most complex internal processes can be simulated, ensuring accuracy and reducing errors during testing. Simulation results can then be directly loaded into the control system, enhancing overall performance.
Danaher Motion’s custom AKM motors, equipped with ITT Cannon CmX connectors, are also on display. These compact connectors combine the benefits of traditional round connectors with a smaller footprint, standing only 2 cm tall. Their small size is ideal for tight spaces and reduces installation time and costs. The color-coded connectors ensure reliable connections and prevent polarity issues, making them highly durable and user-friendly.
Additionally, the new Cartridge DDR series of direct drive rotary servo motors will be featured. Available in flange sizes of 108, 137, and 188 mm, these motors can be directly coupled to loads, eliminating the need for additional mechanical components like couplings or belts. This offers advantages such as high torque, fast response, precise positioning, and maintenance-free operation. They allow for faster and more compact machine designs, offering better quality, efficiency, and lower long-term costs compared to traditional systems.
Danaher Motion will also present the S1300 series of servo amplifiers, demonstrating advanced multi-axis solutions using their servo, linear, and torque motors. These amplifiers are cost-effective, space-saving, and reduce the number of required amplifiers per application by controlling up to three axes simultaneously. Their flexible design allows for easy upgrades and changes, providing excellent value for money. With a sampling time of 62.5μs and high dynamic response, they deliver smooth and precise performance.
Danaher Motion is a leading provider of drive control components and systems, known for its innovative solutions that enhance productivity across various industries, including semiconductors, robotics, aerospace, medical, electric vehicles, and packaging. With brands like Kollmorgen, Thomson, and Dover, Danaher Motion continues to drive the future of automation. As part of Danaher Corporation (NYSE: DHR), it remains committed to technological advancement and industry leadership.
