2-Alarm fire in Elmwood Park, 2-6-15 (more)

This is from Code Photography:

A 2-alarm fire broke out in Elmwood Park, and local fire departments responded quickly. The incident began when a machine caught fire at 35 Conti Parkway, near the circle. When the machine fell, firefighters inside reported that they couldn’t reach the fire in the rear with their hose line and requested a second line. At the same time, smoke conditions worsened, prompting command to be notified of an alarm at 36 Conti Parkway. A first box alarm was dispatched, and as the situation escalated, the crews eventually went defensive and a second alarm was called.

The fire appeared to be well-advanced by the time crews arrived, with thick black smoke visible from several blocks away. Firefighters worked aggressively to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings. One of the images shows an E-One quint responding to the scene, while others capture the heavy smoke rising from the commercial structure. The video gives a good sense of the intensity of the fire and the efforts made by the responding units.
