Waldo Fire Department news
According to the Wisconsin State Firefighters Memorial: From mysheboygan.com: Sheboygan County is in mourning after losing one of its volunteer firefighters who died in a tragic crash near Adell on Saturday. At just before 4:30 PM on Saturday, February 4th, the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a pickup truck at Blueberry Lane and Pheasant Valley Road in the Town of Lyndon. The sheriff's office identified the driver as Ryan T. Moyer, a volunteer firefighter with the Waldo Fire Department. Moyer had been out earlier that day with three others to distribute flyers for the 43rd annual Waldo Fire Department Brat Fry, which was scheduled for Sunday, March 12th. He and two friends were reportedly returning from the Random Lake Pizzeria when the truck veered off the road, went through a ditch, and into a field. When first responders arrived, they found Moyer trapped inside. Nicholas A. TeBeest, 26, was airlifted by Flight for Life and is currently recovering at Froedtert Hospital. Tyler J. Collins, also 26 and a volunteer firefighter from Waldo, was taken by ambulance to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. Both are expected to make full recoveries. Firefighters described Moyer as a devoted husband and father, known for his passion for firefighting and community service. In 2015, he was honored as Firefighter of the Year. He leaves behind his wife, Julie, and their three-month-old son. Here is a statement shared by the Silver Creek Fire Department: As of Sunday morning, funeral arrangements have not yet been officially announced. The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department is still investigating the crash. Authorities are looking into factors such as speed and possible alcohol involvement.
