PTC assists Hande Axle to enhance overall technology research and development capabilities

On March 25, 2008, PTC and Shaanxi Hande Axle Co., Ltd., a leading domestic heavy truck manufacturer, officially launched the Pro/ENGINEER implementation project after three months of thorough research, evaluation, and selection. This initiative marks a significant step in modernizing Hande Axle’s design and engineering processes. Pro/ENGINEER, developed by PTC, is a powerful CAD/CAM/CAE platform that enables companies to create detailed, intuitive, and realistic digital product models, enhancing efficiency and innovation. As one of China’s key production centers for heavy truck axles, Hande Axle has long been a trusted supplier of axle assemblies for off-road vehicles and commercial trucks. To maintain its competitive edge, the company has continuously invested in advanced manufacturing technologies, ensuring it remains at the forefront of industry innovation. With the expansion of its vehicle production scale, increased R&D efforts, and growing international collaborations, the need for modern design tools became essential. The implementation of the Pro/E solution is expected to significantly boost Hande Axle’s R&D capabilities. It is anticipated that the project will reduce design time by over 40%, cut design error rates by more than 60%, and improve design standardization by 30%. These improvements are critical for supporting the company’s future growth and maintaining high-quality standards.
