PTC assists Hande Axle to enhance overall technology research and development capabilities

On March 25, 2008, PTC and Shaanxi Hande Axle Co., Ltd., a leading domestic heavy truck manufacturer, officially launched the implementation of the Pro/ENGINEER solution. This initiative followed nearly three months of in-depth research, evaluation, and project planning. The German Axle Pro/E project marks a significant step forward for Hande Axle in adopting advanced digital design tools to enhance its product development process. As a key production base for heavy truck axles in China, Hande Axle has long been recognized for supplying high-quality bridge assemblies to off-road vehicles and commercial trucks. Over the years, the company has consistently invested in cutting-edge technology, ensuring that its manufacturing processes remain at the forefront of the industry. With the expansion of its vehicle scale, increased R&D capabilities, and growing international collaboration, the need for modern design methodologies and advanced software became increasingly urgent. The introduction of PTC's Pro/ENGINEER solution is expected to bring substantial improvements. It is anticipated that the project will reduce design time by over 40% and cut design error rates by more than 60%. Additionally, the level of standardization in the company’s design processes is expected to rise by 30%, significantly enhancing efficiency and consistency across projects.
