The overall energy consumption of key products in the petrochemical industry declined

In the first half of this year, the state increased its efforts to regulate and control high-energy-consuming industries. The overall energy consumption of key high-energy-consuming products in the petrochemical industry continued to decline. This is the news that the reporter got from the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association on August 22nd.
It is reported that in the first half of the year, the total energy consumption of the six key energy-consuming product units in the petroleum and chemical industries fell 2.44% on average. Among them, the total energy consumption of soda ash production dropped by as much as 6.51%, and calcium carbide is the only product that has increased energy consumption among the six major products.
The comprehensive energy consumption of the six product units was: Crude oil processing 74.14 kg standard oil/ton, down 3.36% year-on-year; Caustic soda 607.93 kg standard coal/ton, down 3.24%; Soda 388.72 kg standard coal/ton, down 6.51% year-on-year; 1121.22 kg standard coal/ton, up 3.63% year-on-year; ethylene 926.6 kg standard coal/ton, down 2.81% year-on-year; synthetic ammonia 1423.59 kg standard coal/ton, down 2.32% year-on-year.
According to Feng Shiliang, deputy secretary-general of the China Petrochemical Association, the main reasons for the increase in the energy consumption of calcium carbide are as follows: First, due to the tight supply of coal, the quality has declined and the energy consumption has risen. Second, since the supply of electricity has been strained this year, calcium carbide producers have limited Frequent electricity also leads to increased energy consumption of calcium carbide.
