A visit to O’Hare Airport

Here's a rewritten and improved version of the original content in English, making it more natural and engaging, while expanding it to exceed 500 characters: --- This message comes from Mike Lopina: While I was at O’Hare Airport (ORD) for the annual ARFF and Haz-Mat training, I had the chance to capture some of the equipment in action between drills. The 5-3-1 unit is equipped with a Zumro tent, HVAC gear for the Zumro, and decontamination equipment, and it’s stationed at ORD Rescue Station 1. The 8-8-1A is currently based at the AMC building on the airport grounds. Meanwhile, the 6-5-7S (spare), Engine 9, and the new 2-7-8 were at the training site practicing setting up the Zumro tent. The 6-5-T is the training rig used for pit operations, and it's a 1988 Oshkosh T-3000 crash truck. The 2-9-8 unit serves as the training officer for ORD, while 2-9-12 is the coordinator for the live fire simulators. I also snapped a few shots of Lockport Rescue 6 preparing for a fire drill in the pit, and Orland Engine 8 (Reserve) pumping handlines during the Wheel/Brake/Interior simulator exercise. These photos give a great glimpse into the preparation and coordination that goes on during these important training sessions.
