On Tuesday, I responded to a fire at 5038 S May. Battalion 15 was on scene, and we saw smoke coming from the attic of a 2.5-story balloon frame house. The fire originated on the first floor in the ceiling and spread upward through the walls into the attic. Engine 50 had two lines deployed, while Truck 18 used their main line to reach the roof.
