On October 28th, COSCO Shipyard successfully delivered and sailed the “Hope 3†drilling platform “SEVAN LOUISIANA†designed and built by Norwegian Sevan Drilling Company.
“Hope 3†is the third of the cylindrical ultra-deep water series marine drilling platforms undertaken by COSCO Shipyard. The design, procurement, overall construction and installation and commissioning of all equipment are completed by Qidong COSCO, a subsidiary of COSCO Shipyard. During the construction process, “Hope 3†fully absorbed the construction experience of the first two platforms, optimized in technical design, material procurement, construction plan, equipment logistics, facility maintenance and maintenance, and cost control, and further adopted digital construction technology. Promote modular construction and realize the integration of “shell, concrete and coating†and no-maintenance construction mode, so that the platform can be delivered in advance.
The rig has a total height of 135 meters, the main hull has a maximum diameter of 99 meters, the main deck is 24.5 meters high, the upper deck is 36.5 meters high, the empty ship weighs nearly 30,000 tons, the deck has a variable load of 15,000 tons, and the operational design water depth is 3810 meters. 12,000 meters.
