A few days ago, Tai'an City, Shandong Province, formulated the "Implementation Opinions on Resolving Overcapacity of Steel and Iron Products" (referred to as "opinions"), and will thoroughly clean up violative projects. All non-construction violations will not be allowed to start construction. Projects cannot be continued. Among them, overcapacity industries include the tire industry.
The Opinions stipulate that all counties (cities, districts) and relevant departments in Tai'an, Shandong Province shall not illegally approve or file steel, cement clinker, cement grinding, electrolytic aluminum, plate glass, etc. industries with serious excess production capacity in any name or by any means. The capacity projects shall not be subject to formalities such as land supply, energy assessment, EIA approval, new credit extension, and production licenses. We will earnestly implement the industry policies that have been formulated by the state, such as tires, to prevent repetitive low-level construction and reasonably control the scale of production capacity.
According to the Opinions, the local tire industry must strengthen the agglomeration effect, focus on optimizing the industrial structure, and rely on the advantages of the new Dongyue Group's technology and brand, motorcycle tires, electric tires and engineering tires to develop and produce vacuum tires and other special products. .
