The underwater strand pelletizer works by extruding molten polymer through a die head, forming strands that are cooled in a water-filled guide section. These strands are then fed into a cutting chamber where they are cut into pellets. The pellets are transported via a conveying system to a dryer, where they are separated from the water and dried. Finally, the pellets are classified for quality control.
