Reddick Community VFD added to the site
Another fire department within MABAS Division 7 is currently on the scene. The Reddick Community Volunteer Fire Department operates from a single station and relies on 21 dedicated volunteers to serve an area of 52 square miles. Their fleet includes an ambulance, a brush truck, two fire engines, and a water tender, allowing them to respond effectively to a wide range of emergencies.  Reddick Engine 103, a 1997 KME pumper mounted on a Freightliner FL 80 chassis, was originally part of the Sullivan West VFD in Tennessee. This unit has been a reliable asset for the Reddick crew. Karl Klotz photo Reddick Engine 105, previously known as Engine 103, is a 1980 American Fire Apparatus front-mount pumper built on an F-Series Ford chassis. It carries 750 gallons of water and is equipped with a 750-fpm pump, making it well-suited for local firefighting needs. Karl Klotz photo  The Reddick VFD exemplifies the spirit of volunteer service, often working with limited resources but always ready to respond when called upon. Their dedication plays a crucial role in keeping the community safe, especially in rural areas where response times can be critical. With a mix of older and newer equipment, they continue to adapt and improve their capabilities while maintaining a strong connection to the people they protect.
