Beginning on June 23, the new design offerings will all come from Google and net a porter. They will have five new frames and eight colors, divided into different styles for men and women. The DVF prescription frame retails for $1725 and sunglasses will cost $1620. Traditional Google Glass is priced at $1,500. Google also announced cooperation with Luxottica, which could eventually lead to beam bans and Oakleydesigned frames. Google has been trying hard to convince the public that the expensive equipment worn everyday is not fashionable enough. The latest effort is to make glasses attract the public mainstream. So far, Google’s A-share base has dropped by 1.2%, and they currently trade at about 554 US dollars.
